According to Styrelsen for Grøn Arealomlægning og Vandmiljø, construction of the 150 kV cable installation between the Hatting and Ryttergård high-voltage substations, including onshore and offshore cabling across Vejle Fjord, is scheduled to start with onshore cable laying in spring 2026, followed by offshore cable laying during summer/autumn 2026.

The Danish authority Styrelsen for Grøn Arealomlægning og Vandmiljø (SGAV) issued an EIA screening decision for Energinet’s 150 kV cable project between Hatting station in Horsens Municipality and Ryttergård station in Fredericia Municipality, concluding that no environmental impact assessment report is required. The decision covers installation of approximately 36 km of 150 kV cable, including a 4.4 km subsea section through Vejle Fjord and expansion of Hatting station, and was made following screening under section 21 of the Danish environmental assessment law.

Energinet Eltransmission A/S launched a public tender for the reinvestment and expansion of the existing 150 kV Hatting and Ryttergård substations, seeking competitive bids for works including new transformer and equipment foundations, a fire wall, cable channels and grounding network, structured as two parallel lots with an estimated contract value of DKK 30 million.

The Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities (Klima-, energi- og forsyningsministeriet) granted project approval on 2 February 2022 under § 4 of the Energinet Act for Energinet’s establishment of a new 150 kV cable connection between the Hatting and Ryttergård high-voltage substations, including approximately 32 km of buried land cable, 4.5 km of subsea cable and associated substation rebuilds. This ministerial decision provides the overarching development consent required for the Hatting–Ryttergård transmission project to proceed.
