Lithuania’s transmission system operator Litgrid has scheduled the start of construction works for the Harmony Link overland interconnector with Poland for the second quarter of 2027. This phase will include building a new double‑circuit 220 kV AC transmission line between Ełk Bis in Poland and the planned Gižai substation in Lithuania, as well as associated substations, forming the onshore alternative to the previously planned offshore HVDC cable.
