Nexans reported that installation of the two 170 kV XLPE submarine cable systems for Statnett’s Hadselfjord subsea power link, covering an approximately 8.8 km route across Hadselfjord between Fiskebøl and Melbu at a maximum water depth of 200 m, was expected to commence in 2022. The EPCI contract also includes land-based single-core XLPE underground cables and associated accessories to complete the new high‑voltage connection.
