On 28 October 2019 Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets announced it had reached an agreement with Siemens to acquire an additional 10% equity stake in the 576MW Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm off the coast of North Wales. The transaction would raise Macquarie-managed ownership from 10% to 20% and mark Siemens’ exit from the project, with innogy and Stadtwerke München remaining as co-owners.
