In June 2025 a Notice to Mariners was issued for trenching works on the Gwynt y Môr export cable near Abergele on the North Wales coast. The notice informs mariners that diving operations close to shore have been completed and that trenching works from the low-water mark to approximately 990 m offshore are commencing, and provides information to support safe navigation around the works area.
