In September 2021 a Notice to Mariners was issued for the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm warning of a risk of cable exposure within the wind farm array. The notice advises that areas where cables may be exposed can change due to tidal and weather effects on the seabed, and directs mariners to cable maps and guidance on fishing near cables and renewable energy structures.
