On 28 January 2011 RWE npower renewables confirmed that the 576MW Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm would be developed as a shared investment by RWE Innogy, Stadtwerke München and Siemens, establishing the joint-venture ownership structure for the project. Later reports specified the equity split as 60% RWE Innogy, 30% Stadtwerke München and 10% Siemens.
