Description
Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution (BBPT&D) was engaged by the Gwynt y Môr OFTO shareholder consortium to provide operations and maintenance services for the licensed transmission assets following asset transfer in 2015. BBPT&D, part of Balfour Beatty’s Services division, was responsible for operating and maintaining the two offshore substations, the onshore substation at Bodelwyddan/St Asaph and the associated 132 kV subsea and onshore export cables under Ofgem’s 20‑year OFTO regime, until the O&M operator role was handed over in late 2021.
