Baseline benthic and fish surveys for the Gwynt y Môr project area, which includes the export cable corridor and offshore wind farm site, began in 2002. Grab sampling and beam trawl surveys were initiated to characterise seabed sediments, epibenthic invertebrates and demersal fish communities ahead of construction of the wind farm and its transmission connection.
