Description
Specialist Marine Consultants (SMC) carried out inspection work on the Gunfleet Sands offshore substation on behalf of the project’s OFTO, Transmission Investment and TC Gunfleet Sands OFTO. The company’s inspection and maintenance division undertook in-field inspection services on the substation in 2019, supporting ongoing operations and maintenance of the transmission assets that connect the Gunfleet Sands wind farm to the onshore grid. This role formed part of the operational phase, helping the OFTO maintain asset integrity and high availability of the offshore HVAC substation.
