Civil construction of cableways, ducts and foundations at the Pembroke HVDC converter station to accommodate the onshore sections of the 320 kV Greenlink interconnector cables and associated equipment.
Keltbray Infrastructure was contracted by Siemens Energy to deliver key civil engineering works for the Greenlink Interconnector Pembroke converter station in South Wales. Its scope includes construction of the precast concrete control building, transformer blast walls, steel-frame and clad buildings, precast trough units, water-retaining structures and bunds, individual equipment foundations, and internal and external cableways and ducting systems. Keltbray also provides formation of door and equipment openings and associated structural works. These activities form the main civil construction package for the GB-side HVDC converter station and support Siemens Energy’s EPC delivery of the Greenlink interconnector.
