Greenlink Interconnector Limited submitted a draft application for consent under Section 48 of the Electricity Regulation Act 1999 to the Irish regulator (CRU) in support of the onshore contestable connection works for the Greenlink interconnector. The application (published as the Draft Section 48 Consent Application / Marine Environmental Impact Assessment report) documented the proposed onshore cable route between Baginbun Beach and Great Island, requested powers to work in public roads, and included supporting technical and consenting information for the connection to the existing Great Island/EirGrid infrastructure. The submission formed part of the formal consenting package for the project’s onshore grid connection.
