Greenlink began geotechnical site investigations in September 2018. Contracted survey works (MMT) included vibrocoring / piston coring, cone penetration testing (CPT/PCPT) and geotechnical boreholes (including jack‑up platform investigations) in the nearshore and offshore parts of the route to characterise seabed sediments and inform cable burial risk, onshore HDD design and later construction planning.
