DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): Scottish Development International/Scottish Enterprise opportunity page for Green Volt (last updated 23 Jan 2026) states it is estimated FID will be taken in 2026 and the commercial operations date (COD) will be in 2030. Project website and Crown Estate Scotland SCDS note ‘targeting first power in 2029’, implying COD likely after first power; therefore shift commercial operations projection from 2029 to 2030. --- Green Volt is targeting commercial operations in 2029. The 560 MW floating offshore wind project by Flotation Energy and Vargronn secured a CfD for 400 MW in AR6 (September 2024). FID is targeted for mid-2026, with construction commencing from 2025. Green Volt aims to be Europe's first commercial-scale floating wind farm.
