Description
Aker Solutions was awarded a FEED Phase 1 contract for the Green Volt floating offshore wind project in Scotland. Aker Solutions’ scope included leading the design of the high-voltage offshore substation (HVAC), overall electrical infrastructure/system integration, and the design of a large jacket substructure, as well as planning for transport and installation of the substation. The work was to support power export both to offshore oil and gas assets and to mainland UK, with delivery supported from Aker Solutions’ UK offices and other locations.
