Flotation Energy and Vårgrønn confirmed that the 560 MW Green Volt floating offshore wind project is being developed as a joint venture, with ownership split 50% to Flotation Energy and 50% to Vårgrønn. This partnership combines the two offshore wind developers to deliver what is intended to be Europe’s first commercial-scale floating offshore wind farm, supplying power to North Sea oil and gas platforms and the UK grid.
