Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds Ltd signed a Balance of Plant contract with Fluor Ltd on 14 April 2008, under which Siemens Transmission & Distribution (Siemens T&D) was appointed as subcontractor responsible for the onshore substation at Leiston, the two offshore substation platforms (Inner Gabbard and Galloper), and associated grid compliance works for the Greater Gabbard transmission assets.
