Consent under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the overhead electric lines turning-in the existing Bramford–Sizewell 400 kV circuit into the new Greater Gabbard substation near Sizewell, enabling grid connection of the offshore transmission system, was granted by the Department of Trade and Industry by the time of the 2005 Environmental Statement.
