On 31 May 2012, the Greater Gabbard transmission assets successfully energised Export Cable 1 (Module 1), completing the export circuits and providing capacity on the offshore transmission system to export the full 500 MW from the Greater Gabbard wind farm to the onshore Leiston substation.
