Cable Route Engineering

Following the December 2005 decision to proceed with the Great Belt Power Link, Energinet.dk completed selection and detailed engineering of the approximately 58 km cable route between the Fraugde substation on Funen and the Herslev substation on Zealand. The final route, comprising submarine and underground sections across the Great Belt strait, was chosen after geotechnical surveys and route optimisation studies to align with existing infrastructure and minimise land disturbance.
