On 18 December 2024, the Sous-Préfet of Istres approved the "fuseau de moindre impact" (lowest-impact corridor) for the mutual 225 kV grid connection of the 250 MW AO6 and 500 MW AO9 Golfe de Fos 2 floating wind farms, selecting a subsea and onshore route about 34 km offshore to a single offshore platform, landfall at Plage Napoléon in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, and onward underground links to the Darse or Feuillane substations via the communes of Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône and Fos-sur-Mer.
