System Testing

Final system testing and commissioning activities for the Gode Wind 3 offshore wind farm were completed on 28 February 2025. Ørsted reports that this “final testing” phase for the 253 MW project, which it jointly owns with Nuveen Infrastructure, marked the conclusion of offshore construction and commissioning work. With these tests finished, Gode Wind 3 was declared fully commissioned and is now producing renewable electricity equivalent to the consumption of approximately 250,000 households in Germany. The wind farm is located in the German part of the North Sea and contributes to Ørsted’s portfolio as its fifth operational offshore wind farm in Germany, supporting the company’s position as a leading operator of German offshore wind capacity.
