CS WIND Offshore reports that it completed the monopile foundation manufacturing and logistics campaign for Ørsted’s German projects Gode Wind 3 (242 MW) and Borkum Riffgrund 3 (900 MW) by performing the last load out of the final monopiles in October 2024. Under a contract where Bladt Industries, together with German steel contractor Steelwind, supplied XXL monopiles for the two wind farms, CS WIND Offshore handled the load-out operations. The scope covered 41 XXL monopiles, each up to approximately 95 metres long, about 10 metres in diameter, and weighing around 1,200 tonnes, for a total steel weight of about 51,200 tonnes. The October 2024 final load out marks the completion of monopile deliveries for Gode Wind 3 under this shared foundation supply contract.
