In winter 2023/24, Ørsted and Jan De Nul successfully tested a new low-noise jetting-based monopile installation technology on three Gode Wind 3 monopiles, achieving a 34 dB reduction in underwater noise compared with conventional impact hammering and demonstrating its potential for more environmentally friendly foundation installation.
