Turbine Supplier Selected

After acquiring and reconfiguring the Gode Wind projects, DONG Energy (now Ørsted) selected Siemens Wind Power as turbine supplier for Gode Wind 1 and Gode Wind 2. In its 18 November 2013 investment announcement, DONG confirmed that the two wind farms, including the 252 MW Gode Wind 2, would together use 97 Siemens 6.0 MW turbines with 154 m rotors. This represented a complete redesign from the earlier Vestas-based scheme and fixed Siemens as the technology platform for the 42 turbines comprising Gode Wind 2. Siemens was also contracted to provide maintenance services for an initial five‑year period following commissioning.
