On 17 July 2014, DONG Energy signed an agreement to sell a 50% stake in the 252 MW Gode Wind 2 offshore wind farm to a consortium of Danish pension funds comprising PKA, Industriens Pension, Lærernes Pension and Lægernes Pensionskasse. The total sales price for the half-share was approximately EUR 600 million, payable between 2014 and 2016. After completion, DONG Energy retained a 50% ownership stake and responsibility for construction, operations and maintenance, while the four pension funds held the remaining 50% through defined stakes (PKA 24.75%, Industriens Pension 10.5%, Lærernes Pension 8.75%, Lægernes Pension 6%).
