In December 2013, GeoSea was awarded a contract by DONG Energy to transport and install the foundations for the Gode Wind 1 and Gode Wind 2 offshore wind farms. The scope includes installation of the monopile foundations for all 97 turbine positions across both projects, using specialist offshore construction vessels. This marine installation contract is a major construction package for the 582 MW development and directly covers the foundation works for Gode Wind 2’s 42 Siemens 6 MW turbines in the German North Sea.
