By December 2014, Bladt Industries had completed and readied the first transition pieces for shipment as part of its foundation manufacturing scope for the Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farms. Working from its Aalborg fabrication site, the company progressed the serial production of the 97 transition pieces, which interface between the monopile foundations and turbine towers. The first units were prepared for load‑out to support the upcoming installation campaigns in the German North Sea. This milestone indicated that manufacturing was on schedule to meet Ørsted’s offshore construction timetable for Gode Wind 1’s 55 turbine positions and the adjacent Gode Wind 2 layout.
