On 20 July 2022, Ørsted awarded Siemens Gamesa a new contract to provide main component exchange (MCE) services at the 582 MW Gode Wind 1 and 2 offshore wind farms in the German North Sea. The framework agreement covers turnkey delivery of specified main component exchange activities under Siemens Gamesa’s end‑to‑end responsibility, supporting ongoing operations of the 330 MW Gode Wind 1. The contract has a base duration of two years, with options for three additional one‑year extensions, allowing for up to five years of coverage. This award extends Siemens Gamesa’s role in maintaining the Siemens 6 MW turbines installed at Gode Wind 1 and ensures continued specialist support for major component replacements during the wind farm’s operational phase.
