Two 155-kV high-voltage export cables from the GT I offshore substation to TenneT’s converter station; subsea installation by jetting began early summer 2013.
TenneT TSO Germany committed to provide the grid connection for the Global Tech I offshore wind farm and to build the offshore export cable routes. The project website states that two 155 kV high-voltage cables would transmit power from the Global Tech I offshore substation to TenneT’s converter station, with subsea cable installation by jetting (Einspülverfahren) beginning in early summer 2013. The Global Tech I timeline also reports that the wind farm was connected (with interruptions) during TenneT’s test phase of the offshore converter station BorWin beta in September/October 2014, and that a later grid reconfiguration (Netzumhängung) to BorWin 3 occurred in July 2019.
