Description
Global Marine Systems Ltd was contracted (within the internal cabling consortium for Global Tech I) to deliver and install the wind farm’s inter-turbine (array) subsea cables connecting the turbines to the offshore substation. The project website stated that cable-laying works covered a total of 120 km of subsea cables within the wind farm; using the project’s known configuration (7 parallel array cables), this corresponds to 840 km total cable length installed across the array cable system.
