On 24 March 2024, the Sleipner field centre began operating on power from shore via a 28‑kilometre subsea cable from the Gina Krog platform, confirming completion and energisation of the high‑voltage cable link between Gina Krog and Sleipner within Equinor’s Utsira High electrification network.
