Equinor and its partners took the investment decision to electrify the Gina Krog platform as part of the Utsira High power-from-shore scheme. The decision, announced on 9 June 2020, covers an estimated NOK 640 million investment for Gina Krog’s power-from-shore connection, alongside the related Sleipner partial electrification project, enabling the platform to receive electricity via Johan Sverdrup rather than relying on gas turbines offshore.
