By June 2020, cable supplier NKT had completed installation of a 62‑kilometre high‑voltage subsea power cable between the Johan Sverdrup field and the Gina Krog platform in the North Sea, providing the connection needed for Gina Krog to receive power from shore as part of Equinor’s Utsira High electrification scheme.
