Substation Supplier Selected

On 22 December 2022, a Dutch‑Belgian consortium comprising HSM Offshore Energy, Smulders, and Iv-Offshore & Energy was selected as the substation supplier for the Gennaker offshore wind project in the German Baltic Sea. The consortium won the tender for the development of the project’s offshore platforms and associated connected services. The contract was awarded in the context of the 927 MW Gennaker offshore wind farm, which transmission system operator 50Hertz and wind farm operator Skyborn Renewables plan to jointly implement. This award confirms the HSM–Smulders–Iv consortium as the contractor responsible for delivering the offshore substation platforms for Gennaker.
