Offshore construction at the Gemini wind farm started when Northland Power, with EPC contractor Van Oord, installed the first monopile foundation at the 600 MW site 85 km off the Dutch coast using Van Oord’s jack-up vessel Aeolus, marking the beginning of the offshore installation campaign for 150 turbine foundations.
