In early May 2017, Galloper’s offshore substation, fabricated by Heerema in Hartlepool for the Alstom–Petrofac consortium, was completed and installed, and the first Siemens turbine was installed at the Galloper site 30 km off the Suffolk coast. This marked the start of the turbine installation campaign for the project’s 56 turbines, alongside installation of the second export cable.
