On 29 July 2016, Sumitomo Corporation signed a contract to invest alongside Macquarie Capital in the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm and will indirectly take a 12.5% equity stake in the approximately GBP 1,500 million, 56-turbine, 336 MW project under construction 27 km off the Suffolk coast, with completion of the transaction due in the following months.
