On 21 November 2011, Galloper Wind Farm Ltd submitted an application under section 37 of the Planning Act 2008 to the Infrastructure Planning Commission for a Development Consent Order and associated Deemed Marine Licence for the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm, a 504MW offshore generating station approximately 27km off the Suffolk coast with its onshore grid connection and related infrastructure.
