In June 2018, Innogy Renewables UK Ltd commissioned Bibby HydroMap to carry out a depth-of-burial inspection survey along each of the 56 inter-array cables at the fully operational 353 MW Galloper Offshore Wind Farm, located about 30 km off the Suffolk coast. Using the survey vessel Bibby Athena with an ROV-mounted Pangeo Sub-bottom Imager and multibeam echosounders, the campaign aimed to determine cable burial depth, assess scour protection, identify areas of exposure or free span, and monitor seabed conditions to support ongoing asset integrity management.
