By September 2016, the first of two 132 kV subsea export cables for the Galloper offshore transmission system had been installed by an NKT-VBMS joint venture, connecting the offshore substation to the onshore substation near Leiston, as confirmed in the Galloper project update presented to Ofgem for Tender Round 5.
