By 12 January 2017, Forthwind Ltd had been granted a marine licence by the Scottish Ministers to construct and operate the 18 MW Forthwind Offshore Wind Demonstration Project at Methil, covering marine renewables construction, operation and deposit of substances in the Scottish marine area, with the licence remaining in force until December 2036.
