Fingrid Oyj and Svenska Kraftnät selected Nexans Norway AS as the supplier for the Fenno-Skan 2 HVDC submarine cable between Finland and Sweden, awarding a contract worth approximately EUR 150 million for an about 200 km, 500 kV, 800 MW subsea link to be manufactured at Nexans’ Halden plant in Norway and installed in 2011 by the cable‑laying vessel CS Skagerrak.
