Description
Hitachi Energy (as the successor to ABB’s grids business) has been responsible under Fingrid’s HVDC Care framework for operations and maintenance of the Finnish converter station for the Fenno‑Skan 1 HVDC interconnector. Under the 2016–2020 HVDC Care agreement, the company provided 24/7 on‑call HVDC experts, troubleshooting and fault repair, preventive and annual maintenance, and station and system checks, working closely with Fingrid to improve availability and reliability of the Fenno‑Skan connections between Finland and Sweden.
