Submarine cable installation for EstLink 2 was completed in December 2012, finishing the laying of roughly 145 km of HVDC cable on the seabed of the Gulf of Finland between Estonia and Finland. This milestone meant the full offshore section of the interconnector was in place ahead of later testing and commissioning activities.
