66 kV three-core static export submarine cable (reported as 23 km in 2024 completion PR; earlier award reporting described 25 km) plus dynamic export tail and ~3 km onshore 66 kV cables for Gruissan/EOLMED export connection for RTE.
Prysmian secured a contract with the French TSO RTE in 2021 for the EPCI of the Gruissan/EOLMED floating offshore wind farm’s 66 kV export cable system. Prysmian’s scope included engineering/design, supply and manufacture, and delivery of a three-core 66 kV static EPR-insulated submarine export cable system, plus associated termination, testing, and commissioning. The contract also included provision of 66 kV onshore cables (XLPE-insulated) for the land section of the grid connection, and a 66 kV dynamic submarine export tail connecting to the floating electrical hub.
