EnBW contracted Siemens to provide monopile-based foundations and associated installation vessels for the EnBW Hohe See offshore wind farm, with Deme Group company GeoSea partnering to deliver and install the monopiles and transition pieces. The contract, signed in February 2016, covers the design and supply of large monopiles up to 80 m long and 1,500 t to anchor the 71 Siemens SWT‑7.0‑154 turbines at the North Sea site around 90 km north of Borkum.
