Description
Siem Offshore Contractors GmbH (SOC) was awarded a contract by EnBW Baltic 2 GmbH to install the 33 kV inner array grid (inter-turbine) submarine cables for the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. SOC’s scope included subsea cable installation works and associated activities such as pre-installation route and boulder clearance, pre-lay trenching, and post-installation termination, testing and commissioning services. The inter-array cable system was described as having a total length of up to around 88 km; the project’s internal submarine cable network is approximately 85 km in total.
