Turbine installation at the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm was completed on 11 June 2015, when the 80th and final wind turbine was installed on its foundation at around 2:30 p.m. This marked the successful conclusion of the turbine installation campaign for the 288 MW project, located 32 km north of Rügen in the Baltic Sea. The farm comprises 80 Siemens SWT‑3.6‑120 turbines on a mix of monopile and jacket foundations over an area of approximately 27 km². With all turbines erected, the project team could focus on final cabling, commissioning and ramp-up to full operation, following initial power export achieved earlier in April 2015.
