Inspection Survey

Since 2016, WTM Engineers, through its subsidiary GOCert, has been providing ongoing inspection and certification services for the EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. As a BSH-approved appointed inspector under the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency’s “Standard Konstruktion” requirements, GOCert’s inspectors support the operator’s obligation to carry out regular inspections of the wind farm’s structures and equipment. Their role includes actively assisting with the preparation and updates of the periodic inspection concept, including inspection plans and checklists, and reviewing and certifying all documents relevant to the wind farm inspections. They also monitor the due conduct of these inspections by performing on-site spot-checks at Baltic 2. At the end of each inspection period, they compile a summarizing inspection report for submission to BSH and prepare the necessary declarations of conformity, evidencing continuous operational inspection activity at the project.
